‘I know what I want and I’m going to fight for it. Otherwise who else is going to fucking fight for it for me.’
If it is wrong of me to care, then I’m sorry.
Sometimes it feels like nothing you say matters.
‘Tears stream down your face when you lose something you can’t replace’
I try my hardest not to care.
‘Hi how are you welcome to the happy bus!’ =D Ahh it’s good to be back in the friendly city
A different mode of transport: Cycling round coffs harbour
‘Don’t worry I got your a back(pack)’ http://t.co/xNiAVc7S
Time: 7:45am
Temperature: 10 degrees Celsius
Once again I’m traveling early in the morning. Wouldn’t have to be this early if the Daylight Saving Time isn’t so bloody confusing. It starts today in NSW, so the clock is an hour ahead. Which means my 9am bus would be 8am in normal time.
The bus better come at 8am otherwise I’ll be the only dumb tourist who gives a damn about daylight saving.
Port Macquarie has been awesome. Just like what I had imagined backpacking to be like. Meeting people, hanging out etc. Sydney was great, but I always felt that my hostel didn’t feel much like a backpackers’. Everyone’s just doing their own stuff and nobody ever bothers to chat.
Here, although it’s extremely quiet and boring. It’s kind of nice. (maybe that’s the reason why people are friendlier, there’s nothing to do!) That was my initial impression of Port Macquarie, quiet and boring. It doesn’t help that I paid bloody $9.20 for a 30minutes bus ride here from Wauchope. Those guys invented daylight robbery.
Despite having nothing to do(partly due to the rain, otherwise you could just soak up the sun on the beach all day), despite having only 1 pub, despite that the only free attraction here is the Koala Hospital (which was great and sad at the same time, seeing and reading about all the injured Koalas), it is great for relaxing. Everything’s so slow here, so calm.
And the backpackers here were the best. Lorna (German), Allyson(Welsh), Madita(German), Aaron and his girlfriend(Finnish) who doesn’t speak much english and her name sounded something like Pina/Pheena/Fina. Best company ever.
And they are all traveling for long periods (a year for Aaron and Pina/Pheena/Fina). Which makes my 11days trip really lame in comparison. I’ll always emphasize that it’s because I’m still schooling and it’s my 1week break. Doesn’t make it any better.
I’ll miss you Port Macquarie. The awesome backpackers hostel with it’s crappy pool table, the only Irish pub, the Koala Hospital, the beach (which I spent 5minutes admiring before it started to rain), the friends. Till we meet again.
(As I finish typing this entry, it is now 8:05, and the bus is still nowhere to be seen. Damn you Daylight Saving, nobody bothers about you! Except me.)
I swear my forehead is frosted
Hi Alyssa (Wales) and Lorna (Germany)! (I’m only tweeting because I’m afraid I’ll forget their names)
Been awake since 2am just to make sure I don’t miss my 7am train! =] Met David on the train. Nice nice guy
